Noor is an Islamic assistant: an AI chat about faith and daily life, Quran reading and audio, prayer times, qibla, tasbih, dua, and the Islamic calendar. AI answers are for guidance only and do not replace an imam or a qualified scholar.
When you register or sign in: your email, password (stored on our server only as a cryptographic hash, never in plain text), and display name (also shown on the “Thanks Wall” if you choose to make it visible). This is sent to our server over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
The text of your questions and your conversation with the AI is sent to our server and then to the AI provider DeepSeek to generate a response. Your conversation history is stored on our server, linked to your account, available to you in the app, and you can delete individual conversations or all of them.
When you make a purchase (Sadaqah subscriptions or one-time donations) we process the product identifier and purchase token to verify it through Google Play and unlock features. Payment details (card and similar) are handled by Google Play — we never receive or store them. Your name appears on the public “Thanks Wall” only if you explicitly enable it (anonymous by default).
De-identified usage events (which screens and features are opened, impressions and taps in the purchase funnel, rating-dialog impressions), plus technical information: app version, interface language, subscription tier, a random install identifier generated on the device (not an advertising ID), and a hashed IP address. We use this to understand how the app is used and to improve it.
We may read the Google Play install referrer (campaign parameters such as
utm_source / utm_campaign, and click and install timestamps) to understand which
campaign or link led to your install.
Technical events about content-loading errors, for stability. The app contains no third-party crash-reporting SDK.
The app requests location access to determine the qibla direction and the coordinates for prayer-time calculation. These calculations happen locally on your device; your coordinates are never sent to or stored on our servers. The permission is used only while the app is open — there is no background access.
These providers may process data outside your country (international transfer).
Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we process data to perform our agreement with you (providing the features), on the basis of your consent (for example analytics, and showing your name on the Thanks Wall), and for our legitimate interests (security and improving the service).
Deletion is requested through our account deletion page. You can reach it two ways:
From the app: Profile → Settings → “Delete account” opens that page.
Without the app: open the page directly, or email
support@noor-deen.com.
Because we cannot yet confirm ownership of an email address automatically, every request is checked by a person — we will process your request and reply within 90 days.
Deletion removes your account data, chat history and sessions. Purchase records are anonymised and retained (unlinked from you) to the extent needed for accounting and refund or dispute handling. An active Google Play subscription must be cancelled in Google Play itself — deleting your account does not cancel it automatically.

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact support@noor-deen.com and we will delete it.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above; continued use of the app means acceptance of the updated version.
